Campobello Town Council
MINUTES
March 2, 2009

The regular monthly meeting of the Campobello Town Council was held on March 2, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. in the fire
department training room. Those present were Mayor Ray Copeland and council members Willie Matthews, Don
Cohenour, Mel Puckett, and Lee Neves.

Don Cohenour made a motion to accept the February 2, 2009 minutes as written.  Seconded by Willie Matthews the
minutes were unanimously approved.  

Police Chief Chad McNeill reported that he was not able to give any statistics for the month of February because
they had not been available from County Dispatch.

Fire Chief Eddie McNeill reported that the fire department responded to a total of 26 calls for the month of
February.  He also reported that the department was awarded a grant from FEMA in the amount of $40,600.00

Councilman Don Cohenour inquired about of the status of the garbage service and recent problems with their
service.  Councilman Mel Puckett reported that a letter as voted on by the Council on at the February 2009 meeting
had not been sent but will be prepared and mailed within the next few days.  Councilman Puckett also reported the
number of complaints received during February were three, a significant drop from previous months.

Councilman Don Cohenour provided information on the ball park agreement.  Mr. Jim Kradle, appeared before
Council requesting the ball field be leased to his group, a team known as the Hammers.  After a discussion led by
Councilman Cohenour, a motion was made by Councilman Cohenour to lease the ball field to Mr. Kradle and his
group for the upcoming season.  The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Lee Neves.  The motion was
unanimously approved.

With no other business presented Lee Neves made a motion to adjourn.  Seconded by Don Cohenour the meeting
adjourned at 7:19 P.M.
